Hello again friends and fans of the Ottawa Gay Men’s Chorus!
After Catch-ing a Wave with you during our last concert this past spring, we’re on track to deliver another rousing performance for the holidays with Nut Cracker! We’ve been busy rehearsing since early September and cannot wait to take the stage again at the Gladstone. This year, we’ll be holding two shows!
We hosted our Annual General Meeting in late September and elected a new treasurer to our Board of Directors. Welcome Michael, and thank you for your invaluable contribution to our group!
We’ve seen alot of activity this season from members on our Committees and workgroups who meet outside rehearsals to work on various aspects our season’s production and operations. We hope to make this production as entertaining as ever. Thank you volunteers for your dedication!

Annual Garage Sale Brought in $900!
The choir held its annual garage sale on Saturday, September 23rd. Thanks to all who paid us a visit and to those who donated items. It was hugely successful as we raised $900!
New Website Launched
We launched a sleek new website this summer to showcase the Chorus’ activities from today and from seasons past, and to broaden our reach to potential singers and a larger public. The website was donated to the Chorus by chorister Jesse Pyne’s design company Purpose Fuel. He created a fresh new look for the site and our social media to ring in Capital Pride. François Bélanger brings the choir’s story to life with a photo montage and narrative of key moments in the Chorus’ history. The Ottawa Gay Men’s Chorus has been together since 1986. We are the second gay choir to be formed in Canada and the first such choir in Ontario.
We are ever grateful to all those who, with their donations, have helped the chorus to continue to fulfil its important mission of contributing to the social and artistic welfare of Ottawa’s LGBTQ2S+ community and giving a public face, and sound, to Ottawa’s queer community.
