Founding conductor of the Choeur Gai d'Ottawa Gay Men's Chorus, Gordon has an extensive musical background. He was tickling the keys of his parents' Willis piano at the age of five and has since become an accomplished organist and harpist.

In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic forced all of us to change nearly every aspect of our lives. Despite the challenges of the past year, Tim Piper effectively used his combination of musical and artistic prowess, and mastery of virtual rehearsal and performance platforms, to expertly guide us through our new virtual environment to produce two very successful virtual performances. We are excited to continue working with Tim and look forward to thrilling our audiences under his innovative direction.

As the musical director of St. Bartholomew's Anglican Church in Ottawa, and Chorale Lyrica, a series of choirs for children and youth in Gatineau, Tim brings a wealth of experience to the chorus. Tim has a Bachelor of Music (Carleton University) and an ARCT in Organ Performance. In 2001, he began serving as Music Associate at Christ Church Cathedral Ottawa where he founded, and then directed the Cathedral Girls' Choir for over a decade. Over his tenure he took the choir on tour to Quebec City, Washington DC, and through Europe.
